I can safely conclude that those of you who know about how search engines work and attaining the top positions will agree with me when I say that backlinks are so very important in getting that all important 1st page position. Even better if you can build them for free and with minimul effort!.

For those of you new to websites and SEO then a backlink is fundamentally another link from a different website that points to your website,some call them inbound links. Basically if you post an article and there is a link in it to your site, that is a backlink! Or if another website owner puts a link on there website to you then that’s a backlink.

It’s not too difficult to get these links but it will serve you better if you get your linking from other site with content similar to yours. Lets say your site subject is travelling the world, getting your links from other travelling sites will bring you better results, this is paramount as the search engines love relevant sites that link to each other. So every backlink that comes from a relevant site will do more for your rankings. Relevant backlinks do a lot more to boost up your search engine rankings.

Assuming that you will put in the work required you can get high position for most key phrases, clearly there are some key phrases that are just simply too competitive but there are still loads you can go for. Often it boils down to who can build the most links, so if you want to beat another site, foster more link juice then they have and on condition that your content is relevant to your target key word or phrase the chances are your site will place higher in the search engine rankings.

Not too complex is it? What you must remember is you must be regular, Google in particular loves regular backlinks popping up to your site, Google will take a high interest in you and consequently will place you higher. If you create some links and then pause Google looses interest and nobody wants that!

It sucks getting other sites to link to you and it can also be a long and arduous process to get your content into the relevant places, I’ve done my time at this stuff before. So really what we need is an automated solution where we can do the work once and then just forget about it and know that our links will be built for us. Or even better would be to have our backlinks built for us on Auto-Pilot so we don’t have to do anything!
