How to Choose a Good Password
Author: RSSFEED

In this world of identity theft and fraud, it’s important to protect yourself and your accounts from unauthorized use. The best measure you can take in regards to security is a strong password. Choosing a password isn’t always the easiest thing to do, so here are some key guidelines to help you on your way.

  • A good password is at least 6 characters long, and most systems will allow up to 8 characters.
  • A strong password should consist of at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number. An example might be Arcos8.
  • Avoid using actual words; you can combine words to make a unique statement. For example, “surf boards” would become “soards.”
  • Intentionally misspell a word as part of your password.
  • Make your password something no one would ever guess, but make it easy enough for you to remember. Security must be your priority.

I hope this helps!
