Public schools continue to get a bad rap but so many children go through public schools and go on to succeed in life. So something good must be happening in public schools. These schools have dedicated teachers and staff who want the best for the children they serve. They maintain this dedication through budget cuts, layoffs, and low salaries. Public schools in higher tax-based neighborhooods do better than those in low income neighborhoods but innovative teachers in these neighborhoods are overcoming the odds and having success.

Private schools are independent entities that run off tuition and alumni donations. The parents pay for the best education for their kids and they get it. The teachers are no less dedicated and may receive lower pay but they are able to teach in an atmosphere that is condusive to learning like smaller classrooms.

Whether you choose public schools or private schools for your kids, being involved with your children’s education is the best way to ensure their future success.
