The American Culinary Federation(ACF) was established in 1929 and is the largest professional chef’s organization in North America.  It is a member of the World Association of Chefs Societies. The ACF has 230 chapters in the United States. The ACF has competitions for students and professional chefs onthe local and national level. It provides professional development through education, certification, and apprenticeship. In 1989 the ACF started the Chef & Child Foundation as a way to fight childhood obesity. The ACF Culinary Team USA is the official US team representign the ACF in major national and international competitions. If cooking is your career path, the ACF is the organization for you.
