According to an independent source on the blogosphere, the real reason the Afghan run-off election between Hamid Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah was canceled was because the latter was obsessed with watching the World Series. Apparently, Abdullah Abdullah is a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan and didn’t want to miss any of the games just to get elected president. Personally, I don’t buy it. He had to just sell out.
