Democratic nominee to the Wyoming House of Representatives seat, Gary Trauner is not your average candidate from the left. Wyoming is a very red state and by that thinking, the Democratic candidates tend to be fairly conservative on their stances on issues.

In Trauner’s case, his most right wing issue is that of gun control. He is a staunch supporter of the 2nd amendment and believes that citizens should make the decisions on responsible gun ownership, rather than government intervention.

In a state like Wyoming, where gun ownership is one of the highest in the country, being a supporter of gun rights is a necessity.
