2 cups sugar

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup dates

1 cup coconut

1 cup nuts

Boil the sugar and milk to a “soft ball” stage. Add the dates and boil until you can see the bottom of the pan when you stir the mixture. Remove from heat; add coconut, nuts, and vanilla. Roll in wax paper.
